Peru - Day 12: Miami to Chicago

On Monday, June 24, 2024, we arrived in Miami around 5:00am. We had about a 90-minute layover before our 6:37am flight to Chicago. Unlike the stressful connection we had in Miami at the beginning of the trip, everything went smoothly on the way home, and we had no trouble making our connecting flight.

We landed at Chicago O’Hare International Airport around 9:00am, and from there, I took public transit home.

It had been an incredible trip filled with hiking, beautiful scenery, Inca history, amazing food, and so many memorable experiences. Hiking the Lares Trek, finally seeing Machu Picchu, visiting Rainbow Mountain, and exploring Cusco, Ollantaytambo, and Lima made Peru such a wonderful place to experience with friends. After 11 days of traveling, though, I was definitely ready to get home and see my cat!
