From Friday, April 28, 2023 through Monday, May 1, 2023, I decided to escape Chicago for a weekend of hiking at Cuyahoga Valley National Park, located only about six hours from home. After arriving at my hotel on Friday, I saw that rain was likely on Sunday, which meant Saturday would be my best chance to fit in as many of the park’s major hikes as possible. That turned into a 20-mile hiking day! It was exhausting, but incredibly fulfilling. Visiting Cuyahoga Valley National Park ended up being such a wonderful way to spend a weekend.
